This canvas zipper pouch began as a way to save every drop of liquid pigment applied to another fabric. It went through the ugly stage as art often does. Even after applying acrylic paint to save it from doom, my vision was to add thread embellishment. But here -without machine stitching – is the Circle-Purple Pouch with process photos:

My first plan was to add stitching for emphasis........

Choosing thread. My first plan was to add stitching for emphasis and use those Tagua beads……

But I didn’t do any embroidery and I didn’t use the Tagua washer beads even though the grape color was perfect. Maybe another time……they go back in that little drawer but they’re not lonesome. (I wish I could say they were.) I scavenged strips of leather from the scrap bag and made a short 4-strand braid. I elaborated on this type of braid in an earlier post, Canvas Splatter Bag.
